Amplitude Mode

Amplitude mode refers to the usual dBm or dBspl data measured by all RTAs. This is the general purpose mode of the analyzer heavily used for taking normal RTA measurements.

The amplitude mode graphs present a wealth of data and are completely customizable by the user. Text can be any font, size and color that you wish. The amplitude scale is adjustable to show just the information you want. You can even change the line width of the grid and the data curves.

Bar Graph

This graph shows the amplitude of each of the 31 1/3 Octave bands as well as the Full range band.

This graph is a single measurement displayed in various shades of the color spectrum for each frequency band. Units are dBm or SPL.

Line Graph
This graph shows the amplitude of each of the 31 1/3 Octave bands as well as the Full range band. The graph shows three measurements, in Red, in Blue, and Brown. Amplitude units are dBm or SPL.

Text Chart

This chart shows the amplitude of each of the 31 1/3 Octave bands as well as the Full range band. The chart is a set of data displayed in separate boxes for each frequency band. This display provides the best readout accuracy. Amplitude units are dBm or SPL.

Control Panel

The control panel is the dialog that is used to set up the parameters of the test. User selections include the run time, detector response, dynamic range, ANSI filters, and offset adjustments that can be applied to selected time window.

There are several selections provided in this list box which control the input source selection for the analyzer measurement. Most of the selections are clear and reflect the external connectors on the pcRTA connector box.

The MultiMic selection performs two different kinds of multiple microphone measurement: Average, and Multiplex. When this selection is chosen, the group box below is enabled. The microphone enable check boxes control which microphones will be included in the multimic measurement. This can be any combination of mic inputs from 1 through 4.

Graph Setup

The amplitude mode graph setup screen, shown here, gives you complete control over the data and grid to be displayed.

The graphs can display all 31 1/3 Octave filters, a 1 Octave display (10 frequency points), or a single band display showing one of the 1/3 Octave frequencies or the Full band by itself.

Each graph can include the Full band as part of the graph or as a text display in the corner.
