With the ever growing use of laptop and notebook PC computers, it has become common for many PC computers to lack the standard ISA bus slots. The PAC4 solves this problem by providing a chassis for mounting up to 4 full size LinearX ISA bus cards and provides all of the necessary power supply voltages and ISA bus signals to operate the cards.

The PAC4 has external AC power operation from 100-240 VAC and a high performance serial port translation interface.

The serial port interface provides a universal means to allow operation with any PC computer which has an open serial (COM) port.

An embedded RISC controller handles all of the required ISA bus emulation, serial port reception/transmission, and automatically performs system status checks.
