Common Mode Rejection. You can answer that question yourself simply by doing a search on the Internet.
Basically, CMR or Common Mode Rejection is a measure of an instrument's ability to reject an undesired signal that is "common" to both input terminals and to amplify only the difference between the input's.
40 dB of CMR to me indicates that at least 1% precision resistors are used on the balanced input's.
Hope this sound's right !!
